Callisto Gallery, LLC was formed in 2003 for the purpose of providing a premier channel for contemporary art in the Southeastern United States.

The mission of Callisto Gallery is to provide an exhibition venue for those contemporary visual artists who seek innovation in their work through simplicity without sacrificing the essence of art as aesthetically pleasing to the viewer. Callisto’s current focus is the Antikythera concept which embodies actual movement in the digital environment.

Three core concepts distinguish Callisto Gallery:

1) Artist focused - Callisto prides itself on the personal attention paid to the success, both artistic and financial, of its represented artists. Because they are not distracted by the necessary tasks of promoting their work, researching opportunities, managing business transactions, etc., our artists’ time is spent where it is most needed: in the studio.

2) International - Callisto represents artists whose work crosses the boundaries of country and culture. Our artists and collectors come from all over the world, united not by geography, but by the artwork.

3) Flexible - As both an online and a physical gallery, Callisto encourages artists to be creative in the presentation of their work. With online exhibitions changing more frequently than at our physical gallery, new work can be shown throughout the year, even when our Nashville gallery is booked with exhibitions.

Callisto also encourages collectors to be creative as they build their collections. Buying artwork is one of the most rewarding investments around, though at times it can feel overwhelming, especially for new investors. Through our leasing program, Callisto offers collectors a unique opportunity to experience art at home or in the office before making the financial investment to purchase a work outright.
